Tending the Roots, Not Just Polishing the Leaves

As coaches, we’re often encouraged to brand ourselves: to polish the leaves so they look
vibrant to the outside world. But a tree’s strength doesn’t come from shiny leaves—it comes
from the roots.
Branding may catch the eye, but it’s the unseen work—nourishing the roots, shaping the
trunk, allowing branches to grow—that makes a tree resilient, authentic, and alive. In the
same way, our real power as coaches comes not from how we present ourselves, but from
the deeper work of exploring our own narratives, identities, and ways of being.
When we tend to our roots—asking Who am I becoming? How do I want to show up?—we
grow into coaches whose presence is not only polished, but profoundly authentic.
This is the invitation of the Group Supervision Program informed by Narrative Coaching,
commencing March 2026. In a safe and expansive space, you’ll explore your story and
reflect on who and how you want to be as a coach.
